I'm a teen fan of Star Trek, and I very much enjoy writing. I've been bouncing ideas around for a while to do my own Star Trek series of short stories, but until now, I haven't been able to get a publisher... I devised the premise for Star Trek: Mariner as a response to an observation from one of my good friends, who noted that the captains in Star Trek seem to be, on the whole, perfect. While I don't necessarily agree with this, I did take it upon myself to create a captain who had a flawed character; this resulted in Simon Anthony. I'm always welcoming any critiques on my writing. e-mails can be directed to uss_mariner_01@enterprise.startrek.org MARINER'S NOW IN HER SECOND SEASON! I HOPE EVERYONE'S ENJOYING THE SERIES!

Episode 9: The Sacrificial Lamb
Captain Simon Anthony has faced many difficulties throughout his career. Now, they seem to have all piled on top of him. Two of his most senior officers are to be court-martialled, on charges that, to Anthony, are unjust. To make matters worse, a debauched killer with a bone to pick is back, and Anthony is his target. Facing a hostile bloc against him, Anthony finds a new friend in Starfleet Intelligence agent Aureliano Sevaro. But will Sevaro and Anthony prevail against the sinister force of Section 31? All that is certain is that, by the end of the affair, one of Mariner's officers will never walk on her decking again.
