While his sister, Mia excelled in all of the Romulan military tests, Tash Gan-An'war realized early on that information is the true key to power. Even though his physical and mental conditioning was above average, he chose to take a different road and concentrated on hacking foreign and domestic secrets. In his short tenure with the Tal Shiar, Tash Gan-An'War acquired an incredible amount of data which he still uses now.
Immediately prior to the Battle of Wolf 359, he and his sister were captured and were being extradited aboard the Starship Hemingway. When the ship of attacked by the Borg, Ensign Alex Garrett disobeyed orders and released Mia and Tash Gan-An'War in time to abandon ship. From that point on, they pledged their loyalty to Garrett, and went on to became the founding members of Team Helix.
Tash Gan-An'War has always felt he has existed in Mia's shadow. He considers that he has always been the little twin brother or the sidekick. Although he has the connections and experience to break away from his sister, he stays by her side and trusts her decisions, but he constantly asks himself the question if he stays with her out of loyalty or the fear of failing on his own.
Tash Gan-An'War is trained in various styles of hand-to-hand and weapon combat and data hacking. |
